LEM Helmets Enters 3rd Year Partnership with Italian UCI Pro Women’s Cycling Team BePink for 2021 Season

With some fresh new riders, team is poised for continued success in this year’s racing campaigns.

MORGAN HILL, Calif. (May 6, 2021) – LEM Helmets, manufacturer of innovative, stylish, and performance head protection for cycling and motorsports, today announces its continued sponsorship of the talented UCI pro women’s cycling Team BePink. Continuing the success of its partnership over the last two years, for 2021 Team BePink expands its roster with new team riders, and will be wearing a collection of LEM road helmets – including the well-established, lightweight Motiv™Air, and new, aero Motiv™Attack – which is coming soon.

"We are very proud and honored to have LEM Helmets on our side again this year. LEM is a very prestigious brand that offers very high-quality and performance products,” said Walter Zini, BePink’s Team Manager. “For the third year, LEM will accompany us all around the world, allowing us to face every challenge with confidence, safety, and glamour!"

With an abbreviated 2020 racing season that saw the team stay focused and complete at a high level at the limited number of races it participated in, they enter the 2021 season with elevated determination and a renewed excitement for training, building team dynamics, and completing globally.

With a number of races already under its tires, Team BePink’s next event is the two-stage Vuelta Navarra in Spain from May 13-14. Barring any cancellations, the team will maintain an impressive, competitive race calendar throughout the season around the world.

Veteran riders returning this season include: Vania Canvelli (ITA), Markéta Hájková (CZ), Chiara Perini (ITA), Silvia Valsecchi (ITA), Silvia Zanardi (ITA), Camilla Alessio (ITA), and Giorgia Catarzi (ITA). Six new riders join the team this year who will gain invaluable experience on the international stage, including: Lara Crestanello (ITA), Michaela Drummond (NZ), Nora Jenčušová (SI), Nadia Quagliotto (ITA), Prisca Savi (ITA), and Matilde Vitillo (ITA).

The Team will be racing in LEM’s ultra-light MotivAir helmet in a limited edition pink colorway. Featuring the brand’s proprietary exoCarbon™ technology that has an unmatched strength-to-weight ratio and improved oblique and rotational impact management, the high-performance MotivAir weighs 220 grams (size M) and has a full-carbon exterior shell and low-density EPS foam. This keeps weight down, increases the strength, and maximizes vents for cooling without compromising integrity.

Additionally, the Team will also race in the new Motiv™Aero TT helmet with superior lens optics and a removable magnetic tail for rider customization, and the soon-to-be-launched streamlined and aero MotivAttack made for superior performance on flat race days and sprinting.

The team will also wear LEM’s Volata and Gavia helmets.

“We’re excited heading into our third year of partnership with BePink and support the talented team at races around the world in 2021. Our Motiv family of helmets – Air, Attack, Aero – are the perfect choices for the team’s pursuits and offer a versatile quiver for the season,” said Keith Cozzens, Global Brand Marketing Director at LEM. “Coming off a truncated 2020 season, we know the team is hungry and bubbling with determination and excitement to hit the race calendar this season, and we look forward to continuing our successful, collaborative partnership with a focus on providing high-performance helmets for the team.”
