LEM Helmets Enters 3rd Year of Partnership with Pro MTB UR Team

The team’s DH and Enduro riders will wear LEM’s three new all-mountain and gravity helmets, plus new line of goggles.

MORGAN HILL, Calif. (April 27, 2022) – LEM Helmets, manufacturer of innovative, stylish, and performance head protection for cycling and motorsports, continues its partnership for a third consecutive year with the world-class NS Bikes UR Team. The pro team will wear a collection of LEM’s new all-mountain and gravity-focused helmets, including: the lightweight, carbon Descent full-face, enduro-inspired Moment full-face, and versatile Spyne half-shell. The riders will also debut LEM’s new MTB goggle line for the 2022 season, with two distinct models that pair seamlessly with the new helmets.

The international DH and enduro team has added a trio of new, highly-talented riders to the crew this season, and recently competed at the opening round of World Cup racing at Lourdes, France.

“As a gravity team, helmet safety is something that no one wants to compromise on,” said Fabien Cousinié, UR Team manager. “We have been amazed by the level of safety that has been reached, and it was great to work closely with the LEM team to help fine tune the details of the full-face helmets, and now we are stoked that everyone can get their hands on these awesome products.”

The UR Team roster includes: George Brannigan, Kye A’Hern, Vanesa Petrovska, Tracey Hannah, Fabien Cousinie, and Vinci Vodan. Next up for the squad will be Fort William UCI World Cup round two, as the team continues to kick off its World Cup season.

“Working with LEM has been awesome because they really want to make a good product with function being at the top of the list. The helmet feels crazy comfortable and really safe, so I just feel good wearing it,” said Brannigan. “And, they’re always asking for feedback to improve, especially with the goggles now. All in all just a really good company to work with.”

Entering into the third year of partnership, LEM will be supporting the riders with new helmets and goggles for all types of terrain and racing. All the helmets feature LEM’s new, proprietary GelMotion® technology for management of high- and low-energy impacts, and rotational and oblique impacts. During an impact with GelMotion, the surrounding EPS foam plus energy-absorbing gel pads work harmoniously to displace energy upon impact.

The recently-launched, ultra-light Descent carbon full-face helmet delivers superior performance for more aggressive terrain, and features 18 vents for cooling and comfort, indexing visor, and Double D-Ring closure system. The enduro-inspired Moment full-face (coming soon) offers a lighter option for more all-mountain riding, and features iconic+™ anti-odor comfort pads, Fidlock® snap buckle system, and durable 2 PC shell technology. Both of these helmets were developed with the team to ensure that the features, style, and fit met the demands of the riders.

The team will also wear the new Spyne half-shell, all-mountain helmet, offering full-coverage and comfort for all-day riding.

Crafted and engineered with the rider top-of-mind, the team will wear LEM’s new goggle line (coming soon) for eyewear protection that provides sharp optics and clear field of vison for everything Mother Nature throws at the riders. The collection includes: the Moment goggle with an outrigger design and tear-off ready posts, and the Spyne goggle that features a smaller profile. Both offer 100% UVA/UVB/UVC protection up to 400 nm, multi-layer face foam, and premium optics.

“The UR Team is such an amazing and influential squad globally – both on and off the bike – and we’re stoked to kick off our third year of partnership with Fabien and his crew,” said Keith Cozzens, LEM’s Global Brand Marketing Director. “Working with the team to fine-tune our new full-face helmets was a great process that grew our relationship, and supporting the riders with our new goggle line really allows us to offer the full package for gravity riding. We’re excited for the season and looking forward to the great racing and creative content that will come.”
