LEM Helmets Continues Partnership With Human Powered Health Pro Cycling Teams For 2022 Season

Top-ranked UCI American teams will exclusively wear brand’s trio of high-performance Motiv™ Family of road helmets, as LEM extends alliance into 2nd year.

MORGAN HILL, Calif. (March 22, 2022) - LEM Helmets, manufacturer of innovative, stylish, and performance head protection for cycling and motorsports, today announces the continuation of its partnership with the professional Human Powered Health cycling teams – formally Rally Cycling – as exclusive helmet sponsor for the 2022 season. LEM, who’s performance head protection experience, innovation, and heritage dates back to 1972 when the brand was founded in Italy, will support one of America’s top-ranked men’s and women’s teams in training and races around the world with its trio of high-performance Motiv™ Family of road helmets.

“We’re excited as we move into our second year of partnership with the teams, and are looking forward to continuing our support of the team’s growth and success on the world cycling stage,” said Keith Cozzens, LEM’s global brand marketing director. “So far this season, both teams have come out of the gates in great form, and we can’t wait to witness what lies ahead this season for this world-class organization.”

Both the UCI men’s ProTeam and women’s WorldTour team – who will compete at the eight-stage Tour de France Femmes Avec Zwift in July – will wear LEM’s new Motiv™Attack built for speed on the sprints, carbon Motiv™Air for all-around lightweight performance, and sleek Motiv™Aero for time trials.

"Comfort, performance, reliability, and safety are absolutely key whenever our riders put on a helmet,” said Human Powered Health performance manager Jonas Carney. “Our athletes have supreme confidence in the technology and protection in all of the LEM models, so we’re delighted to continue this partnership with their complete line including the MotivAttack, MotivAir, and MotivAero.”

With stacked rider rosters, both teams are currently in Europe racing a packed schedule of elite events. For all the updates, results, and behind-the-scenes action, follow the teams HERE.

LEM’s new MotivAttack delivers a sleek aerodynamic design engineered with Computational Fluid Dynamics technology (CFD) for optimized aero performance that excels on the flats and in the final sprint. It’s ideal for sprinters and rouleurs who might find themselves in a breakaway that comes down to a sprint, or largely flat stages and races where every aerodynamic advantage counts towards the win. The helmet features: LEM’s new, proprietary GelMotion® technology for management of high- and low-energy impacts, and rotational and oblique impacts, sleek, lightweight profile with slipstream-dimpled panels, 11 vents, anti-microbial ionic+™ padding, and micro-adjust fit system.

The MotivAir is the helmet for the climbers on the teams. One of the most well-ventilated helmets available with a scant weight of 220g (size M), it’s the perfect choice when comfort and weight matter. LEM uses its proprietary exoCarbon™ technology to create a carbon fiber exoskeleton along with low-density EPS foam to improve the helmet’s strength-to-weight ratio and management of oblique and rotational impacts. These innovative features, along with a micro-adjust custom fit, mean the team riders will stay cool without compromising on protection and performance.

The team will also wear LEM’s time trial MotivAero helmet. This lightweight helmet features a removable magnetic tail profile, which is ideal for customizing a rider's TT position. A durable, anti-scratch optic shield lens is attached magnetically to the front of the helmet to protect the rider’s eyes and allow them to focus completely on the task ahead.
